Catholic Church is like the Mafia...

With apologies to my Catholic relatives and ancestors - sorry, the Church was wrong - and probably other religions are right in there with you - molesting and sexually abusing children.

If the priests and others in our churches and (and that includes all religions because I am an equal opportunity offender/accuser) they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I asked a friend if we were just naive, or did this happen when we were young, and he said it went on, but no one spoke of it, and it was handled by the fathers.

Sort of goes with my Florida cracker (in this case a compliment), friend's story of the man who hid under a bridge and flashed the girls going to and from school. One night there was a hurried meeting at the school and the parents attended without the children. Soon, the man disappeared. It was said that the fathers "took care" of it.

I would love to see "fathers take care of situations like this". And mothers. And other relatives.

If child molesters were left to the anger of the families, the others would think more than twice about perpetrating this horror.
