Handsome Harry doesn't have a permanent home

Remember that poor waif, the black and white dog who was found in our local forest, dying of starvation and dehydration? (He was on his way to recover in the photo above.)

That was Hungry Howie. Due to the quick thinking and good hearts of Jim and Diane Thomas,
he was brought to a shelter and it took a year for him to recover. Then he went to South Carolina so Jim and Diane could help place him. There were no takers who wanted this slick, beautiful, good-hearted boy. And today I find out that still, NO ONE HAS ADOPTED BEAUTIFUL, HANDSOME HOWIE. I don't understand why. He is gorgeous. Could it be he is mostly the color of jet with white trim? People don't seem attracted to black dogs - but he has plenty of "chrome". Now he is well trained, but still - is there no one to give him a forever home?

Today is a new year. Please, please, go to the search box I've provided under the this blog's photo and type in Handsome Howie or Hungry Howie, and you will find his story.

Do you have room in your home and in your life for such a handsome survivor, who, when you see his first photos, will astound you with his will to live. That alone convinced the shelter to care for him and make him whole.

I will put you in touch with the Thomas family if you are interested.
