Top 10 items surgically removed from dogs...

My Weimaraner, Max, swallowed socks once, but passed them successfully.

When I was breeding Bassets, I got an SOS call from one of the owners of my puppies asking if I would take Jezebel back because she was eating everything.
Drove up to Bakersfield to get her, and enroute to a campground (we thought we'd take her along) she got carsick. Stopped at the side of the road and she upchucked two pairs of panty hose. She used to graze the clothesline!

We never had a problem with her after that and found her a new home.

A friend had a pup who was given a marrow bone. It slid over her lower jaw and had to be sawed off by the vet.

My cousin had a dog that used to eat rocks and broken cement. She had two surgeries for that.

I had a Bloodhound (my Gabriel) once who could hide 13 long men's dress socks in his mouth at a time and you'd never know they were in there...he just used to get in the hamper and carry them around. Fortunately, he never swallowed them.

The incident with the 13 socks came about when he stood in front of me to show me "something". I looked his mouth and started pulling out socks.
